I practice lent
Although Lent is a Christian tradition, I use it as a ritual of discipline and self-love through repentance of bad routines
Doing it alongside others also keeps me accountable and inspired. There’s something powerful about knowing thousands of people are choosing reflection and restraint at the same time. especially this year, as Lent and Ramadan begin together. Two traditions, both rooted in self-control and commitment.
for 40 days and 40 nights i promise privately and publicly to you (fellow blog reader), that i will practice self-discipline through ridding myself of two deadly sins:
1. gluttony - by not going on INSTAGRAM reels or TIKTOK
2. SLOTH - by not press the snooze button on my morning alarm
wish me luck

Entered the DMV today
paid for permission I shouldn’t have to pay for
asked for safety I won’t receive
took my photo when I didn’t want to
felt nervous even though I knew better
acted out even though I knew better
was impatient when I know time doesn’t matter

JANUARY 21
THE BEAUTY OF AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH IS NEVER LOST ON ME
FROM THE COLORS TO THE SMELLS TO THE SOUNDS
a true Multisensory EXPERIENCE
I WISH THE CAR WASH EMPLOYEES GAVE YOU some kind of TREAT to HAVE taste be included to complete the 5 senses
i love the car wash i go to by my house because
1.vacuuming my car is free
2.I LOVE THE EMPLOYEES, THEY’RE ALL 20 SOMETHING GUYS who basically just guide you into the car wash, but they are very nonchalant about doing so. they make movements like aircraft marshallers, guiding you to
STOP
go left,
go right,
MOVE FORWARD,
but they do it in the most effortless way POSSIBLY, sometimes i cant even tell if they are MOTIONING anything to me. IT’S inherently A PRETTY “UNCOOL” JOB That tHEY all TRY TO MAKE COOL AND FOR THAT I APPRECIATE THEM.

i love frozen yogurt it’s the epitome of treating yourself i ate it for lunch today which was the best possible treat for a friday afternoon
every cup is also unbelievable beautiful the glistening of all the fruits with the ice cream can put a little tear in my eye and the act of getting frozen yogurt is just as good, the school cafeteria rhythm of adding to your tray but unlike school lunch it is full of colorful, endless flavor possibilities
i mix it up with my frozen yogurt toppings but today i went with
classic tart
3 blueberries
strawberries
white mochi
1 dollop of pistachio cream
1 brownie bite
cheesecake bites
coconut jelly (didn’t like)
oreo cookie crumble
